Winch and Recovery Class

Playing in off-road environments might one day require that you help someone to get out of a predicament or your self. Whether you are using a 4WD vehicle in a recreational environment or for a 4×4 expedition far away from any support – this class will help you return safe! You will learn safe and effective recovery techniques using common recovery tools, plus a few helpful extras. This course will also help you to evaluate which tools and accessories are truly a must have in your recovery kit.
We are offering a one day class filled with safe effective winching techniques plus professional tricks of vehicle recovery and self recovery.
We will Discuses numbers and physics with a ½ day of classroom followed by a ½ day of hands on vehicle recovery techniques and application.
We guarantee that you will learn as much as possible and practice for use right away if need be.

Refresher of basic principles
Calculation of resistance
Calculation of loads
Pulling someone out
Towing someone in an off-road setting

Introduction and discussion of: HiLift, come along, primitive tools, portable winches, jacks, cables, ropes, kinetic ropes, chains, straps, anchors, misc. hardware
Class Cost $20.00 per person includes Lunch. Participants must bring gloves, close toed shoes/Boots and long pants.
